We are pleased to announce a show of new works by five Stockholm based artists; Lewis Henderson (b.1993 UK), Jost Maltha Müller (b.1995 Denmark), Silja Beck (b.1996 Germany), Behzad Dehno (b.1993 Denmark) and Isolde Berkqvist (b.1995 Sweden). Each of the five artists in this
exhibition use their practices to try to make sense of the chaotic reality of our current moment; looking for beauty in the absurd nature of Being and meaning in the things they make. The exhibition’s title comes from a quote in the 1984 BBC documentary The Mayor of Montemilone - a film about a small Italian town and its communist mayor; “they just sit there, waiting for death like turtles in the sun.”
